REPLUG: Indian TV News Channels Have Crushed Democracy: Ravish Kumar
The senior television journalist says media has become the voice of those in power, not of the people.
In an interview with Newsclick, Ravish Kumar appeals to viewers to boycott TV news for the next 2.5 months, as he thinks that TV news channels have nothing new to offer except propaganda. A TV news anchor has become general secretary of BJP, and we have become information-less voters, he says, adding that it's much better to attend a BJP meeting than watch TV news channels.
