In a video message, N. Ram, former Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu, talked about the shocking scale of the raids against NewsClick journalists, the continuing decline in media freedom and the escalating threats to journalists across the country. He said in today's political situation, the only way to defend the right to free speech was to exercise it, both individually and collectively.
