Ladakh's Only Female Rapper Who's Raring to go!
Ladoll is 25, popular and is using innovative ways to highlight issues of Ladakh. A rap music video by her, a tribute to the agitation that has now become part of the UT’s agitation for inclusion in the 6th Schedule of the Constitution that grants certain special protection to tribal regions, has become a hit. Padma Ladol, has been writing rap songs since 2020, came up with her first rap video about climate change and other issues in February 2021. She had never imagined that one day she would become 'La Doll' and put Ladakh on the international music map. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Ladakhi, she made her formal musical debut in 2022 when she released her first solo `Tus-skabs’ that turned out to be a chartbuster with over 1.11 lakh views and 8k likes. The girl next door has become Ladakh’s first female rapper who has her own YouTube channel, with 6.64K subscribers.
