Karwan-e-Mohabbat, Stopped from Meeting Pehlu Khan's Family
The Karwan-e-Mohabbat today morning reached Behror in Alwar district of Rajasthan to pay tributes to Pehlu Khan, the dairy farmer who was killed by cow vigilantes in Alwar on April 1.
But the Karwan - led by Harsh Mander, former civil servant and activist writer - was prevented from visiting the place by VHP goons. The VHP workers were a group of 20-30 people only. But the police failed to rein in the goons who didn't want the Karwan members to pay tributes.
Harsh Mander and team sat on the road and protested.
The Newsclick team is on the ground, following the Karwan-e-Mohabbat, ‘a Journey of Love, Atonement & Solidarity’ initiated in solidarity with the families of lynch victims across the country.
