How Sudeva FC IS Nurturing Football The Indian Way
Aimed at providing a footballing foundation to kids in their teenage years, Sudeva FC started as a grassroots football initiative in 2014. In two years, they have evolved into a full blown football club and have an academy that houses 130 children between the ages of 10 and 20. They offer full scholarships to 45 children at the academy.
In addition to the concentrated football coaching and training programme, Sudeva also ensure that all the academy products get a school education, putting in place a safety net in case the professional game doesn’t work out. Academy products who do make it professionally are also fed into their their U-17 team, the Sudeva Moonlight FC, which plays in the 2nd Division of the I League (AIFF Youth I-League).
